The Westin Melbourne Launches Kids’ High Tea

High Tea for children aged 5 to 12 runs until 22nd November 2026

The Westin Melbourne has launched a children’s High Tea built around an under-the-sea theme, with the experience running until 22nd November 2026.

Le Petit Wonders of the Sea has been designed for children aged 5 to 12 and is served in The Westin Melbourne’s lobby lounge. The three-tier menu uses ocean-inspired sweets and drinks, with each child also receiving a Westin Melbourne teddy bear to take home.

The children’s High Tea is priced at $63 per child. It includes handcrafted items such as raspberry white-chocolate mermaid-tail cupcakes and mango and puffed rice “coral”. Hot chocolate and ice-cream spiders are also included throughout the experience.

The hotel is positioning the High Tea around the school holiday family market, with the menu giving younger guests their own version of a traditional hotel High Tea.

Chef Apoorva Kunte, Executive Chef at The Westin Melbourne, said the menu was created to give children a more playful dining experience.

“We wanted to create a High Tea that sparks curiosity, imagination and a sense of adventure for young guests.”

The release also notes that the ocean theme shaped the food design, with colour and presentation playing a clear role in the menu.

The experience is part of the hotel’s wider dining activity, but the focus here is firmly on families with younger children. Rather than adapting an adult High Tea, The Westin Melbourne has created a separate children’s menu with its own theme, inclusions and price point.
