MES Computing recognises vendors serving midsize IT teams

ExaGrid has been named in the 2026 MES Midmarket 100, an annual list from MES Computing that highlights technology vendors serving midsize organisations.

MES Computing is a brand of The Channel Company, and the announcement came from Marlborough, Massachusetts, on 14th July 2026.

The annual list recognises vendors with deep knowledge of the IT needs of midmarket organisations. According to MES Computing, those vendors support growth, innovation and success for midsize customers.

MES Computing defines midmarket organisations as businesses with annual revenue from $50 million to $2 billion and or 100 to 2,500 supported users or seats.

Vendors were selected for the 2026 MES Midmarket 100 based on go-to-market strategy, innovation for the midmarket and the strength of their midmarket product portfolios.

ExaGrid sells Tiered Backup Storage appliances and describes its platform as the only Tiered Backup Storage solution with AI-Powered Retention Time-Lock, or RTL.

The system includes a non-network-facing tier that creates a tiered air gap. It also includes delayed deletes and immutability features for ransomware recovery.

Midmarket organisations often work across many operating systems, network topologies and distributed environments. They also face strict security demands, rapid data growth, tight IT resources and limited budget dollars.

ExaGrid appliances work with all major backup applications and in any environment. The vendor also promotes easy installation, simple management and lower costs both up front and over time.

The platform uses a scale-out architecture. In addition, ExaGrid says its full appliances in a single system make backup storage affordable for midmarket organisations.

Customer support is another part of the offer. ExaGrid says customers work with an assigned level 2 support engineer and get virtually no touch time after setup.

Samara Lynn, senior editor of MES Computing at The Channel Company, said: “The Midmarket 100 highlights the technology vendors that genuinely understand, and actively champion, the distinct needs of midsize organisations.”

Lynn also said the listed companies equip midmarket IT teams to overcome tough challenges so they can innovate and accelerate growth.

Bill Andrews, President and CEO of ExaGrid, said the company was honoured to be recognised again in the MES Computing Midmarket 100.

Andrews added that ExaGrid has solved backup challenges for organisations in the upper midmarket and large enterprise. He also pointed to the company’s scale-out architecture as a way to let organisations add appliances as data grows.
