GMHBA has achieved notable recognition in the 2026 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards. The not-for-profit private health insurer received Highly Commended acknowledgements in three categories: Value – Health Insurance, Easy to Claim – Health Insurance, and Recommended Brand – Health Insurance. Over 50,000 Australians participated in the survey that led to this recognition.

Founded in Geelong, GMHBA is experiencing remarkable growth and transformation. In recent years, it has significantly expanded its workforce, improving its capabilities while investing in services for its members and the local community. The expansion is paralleled by a significant 36% increase in its health services revenue since 2021, as more members access care through GMHBA’s integrated health model.
Growth and Customer Satisfaction
GMHBA has maintained the lowest average premium increase in the market at just 1.98% for 2026. This marks the fourth consecutive year of keeping their premium increases below the industry average, reinforcing their commitment to value for members.
Customer satisfaction remains high, with feedback consistently strong and complaint levels well below industry benchmarks. Such positive sentiment has contributed to GMHBA’s growing membership base, making it one of the fastest-growing health insurers in Australia. Since 2021, health insurance sales have surged by over 200%, establishing GMHBA as the third fastest-growing fund among 28 in the market.
