Hybrid Technology and Off-Road Capabilities Highlighted

In a bid to solidify its global presence, Chinese automotive brand JETOUR unveiled its latest SUV line-up during the Auto China 2026 exhibition in Beijing. On April 27, 2026, the event underscored the company’s dedication to merging hybrid technology with off-road prowess.

Journalists were captivated by the JETOUR G700 SUV’s impressive lake navigation demonstration held near Beijing. This display emphasised the vehicle’s reliable water navigation and robust engineering. Media attendees engaged in comprehensive test drives across diverse terrains, including paved roads, hill climbs, and professional off-road tracks.

JETOUR is promoting its “Travel+” strategy, aiming to position vehicles as integral to a broader mobility lifestyle. Central to this strategy is the G700 SUV, featuring three locking differentials, air suspension, and a luxurious cabin with digital displays and premium materials.

Global Market Strategy

The brand targets high-margin SUV segments in Europe and emerging markets. By focusing on hybrid powertrains, JETOUR aims to boost brand recognition through immersive experiences. Available for test drives was the T2 i-DM mid-size hybrid SUV, designed for both adventurous and practical use.

JETOUR has achieved cumulative worldwide sales exceeding 2.26 million vehicles, highlighting its growing influence. With operations spanning about 100 countries, the company is committed to building long-term consumer trust, particularly in Europe.

Chinese automotive brands are increasingly competitive in global markets. JETOUR is moving beyond its image as a low-cost alternative, concentrating on design identity and user experience. This approach aligns with broader industry trends as automakers emphasise emotional appeal and design.

At the event, JETOUR representatives described their vehicles as tailored to real-life scenarios rather than conventional market segments. As differences in powertrains become less apparent to consumers, automakers are prioritizing design and user experience to distinguish their offerings.
