Lexy Modern Asian Fusion Opens on Flinders Lane

Flinders Lane welcomes Lexy’s bold modern Asian fusion experience

Flinders Lane has a striking new arrival in Melbourne’s dining scene, and it’s already turning heads. Lexy, the latest venture from acclaimed chef Ken Leung, blends modern Asian fusion with a touch of high glamour, creating an experience that is as much about atmosphere as it is about flavour. Known for his innovative approach at Cha Ching, Leung has taken his vision further with Lexy, delivering a sensory journey from the moment you step inside.

The interiors, designed by Tom Orton and Kim Lai of We Are Humble, are an elegant collision of brushed silver finishes, tan suede seating, mirrored ceilings, and sculptural lighting. The infinity wall creates depth and drama, while intimate spaces such as a private dining enclave and a four-seat chef’s table overlooking the open kitchen add layers to the experience.

Lexy’s menu, crafted by Head Chef Oak, tells stories through flavour. Fire-led cooking and the Josper oven’s signature smokiness infuse the dishes with warmth and depth. Highlights include the Lexy Seafood Platter, a lavish spread perfect for sharing; the X.O. Rock Lobster, rich with umami; and the Seared Black Cod, delicately balanced and melt-in-the-mouth. The Truffle Mushroom Dumplings offer an indulgent vegetarian option, and the Margaret River Wagyu Flank M9 delivers a premium, perfectly seared cut for meat lovers. For dessert, the Crème Brûlée Espuma reimagines a classic with a light, airy twist that dissolves instantly on the palate.

The drinks list is just as inventive, featuring a zero-waste bar program that champions seasonality and technique. Cocktails are crafted with house-fermented ingredients, clarified juices, and homemade tinctures, while rare spirits and a rotating sake selection pair beautifully with the layered flavours on the menu.

Lexy caters to every kind of dining occasion, from weekday three-course express lunches to the Lexy Flight Banquet, a multi-course tasting experience that showcases the kitchen’s signature creations. Private events and group bookings are welcomed with custom banquet menus, including vegetarian and pescatarian options.
