LEXY turns Flinders Lane into a late-night dining spot every Friday and Saturday, with oysters, dumplings, whisky and theatrical cocktails served until midnight.
The sleek, glamorous LEXY Restaurant on Flinders Lane has firmly established itself as one of Melbourne’s dining hotspots.

Every Friday and Saturday from 10pm until midnight, this Flinders Lane favourite transforms into a vibrant late-night destination, serving a curated menu of Lexy favourites designed for sharing, grazing and lingering over cocktails.
Highlights include the fresh Pacific Oysters, topped with refreshing bursts of red chilli granita and Lexy’s famous coconut cream. I’d happily return tomorrow for these alone. The Charred Edamame with fermented chilli and garlic remains a crowd-pleasing staple, while the Coconut Prawn and Scallop Dumplings with chive pesto were another standout, delivering both flavour and satiation.
The Cashew Crispy Chicken Bites with togarashi mayo, gochujang glaze and curry aioli packed plenty of flavour, although I personally found them a touch too fried and oily for my liking. The cassava crackers with chilli salt, yuzu miso mascarpone go great with a strong drink and if you’re feeling indulgent, caviar bumps are also on the menu.
The bar also features two exclusive late-night cocktails. “Fire” combines sesame, butter, hinoki and applewood, dramatically blazed tableside, while “Ice” is a blend of coconut, pandan and matcha, topped with dry ice.
I opted for the Fire cocktail. While I enjoy sesame as a flavour, I felt the sesame seeds didn’t quite belong in a dark cocktail, particularly as it softened and settled towards the bottom of the glass.
In saying that, the bar team are passionate, talented and clearly invested in pushing boundaries. Given the freedom to experiment, they confidently navigated both inventive, theatrical creations and timeless classics. With plans to continue evolving the late-night cocktail offering, I look forward to coming back and seeing what’s new.
