Integral Ad Science picks former Bumble and Slack chief
Integral Ad Science has named Lidiane Jones as IAS CEO with immediate effect, installing a technology executive with more than 20 years of product, software and AI experience. The New York-based media quality company announced the change on 7 July 2026.
Jones succeeds Lisa Utzschneider, who led IAS for more than seven years. Utzschneider will stay on as Special Advisor to the Board through 31 December 2026 to support the transition. She will also serve as a Special Advisor to Novacap and its portfolio companies.
The appointment forms part of IAS’s long-term strategy for digital advertising. AI is changing how media is planned, bought, measured and optimised. Advertisers increasingly need trusted intelligence to make real-time decisions.
IAS stated that Jones’s background in product, technology and AI positions the company to build on its media quality business and accelerate innovation. The succession process involved the Board of Directors, Novacap and Utzschneider.
Bumble, Slack and Salesforce roles
Before joining IAS, Jones served as chief executive of Bumble. She also led Slack after its acquisition by Salesforce, where she held the title of Executive Vice President and General Manager of Digital Experiences.
Earlier in her career, Jones worked in leadership roles at Sonos and spent more than a decade at Microsoft. That mix spans enterprise and consumer software.
“IAS occupies a unique position in the market,” Jones said. She described the company as having a strong technology foundation and trust with customers around the world.
In her view, AI is driving another wave of change across advertising. Jones said IAS can build on its momentum, lead innovation and help customers navigate the next phase of the market.
IAS AI-driven media quality
Its tools are used by brands, agencies and publishers.
The company has focused on media quality as buying and measurement become faster and more automated. Real-time intelligence has become more important as digital advertising systems rely more heavily on AI.
Utzschneider called leading IAS one of the greatest privileges of her career. During her tenure, the company expanded its AI-driven technology to help customers navigate digital advertising with more intelligence, transparency and confidence.
“With Lidiane at the helm, I could not be more excited about the future of IAS,” Utzschneider said.
