Global Launch of Integrated Navigation System

Lotus and HERE Technologies have announced a major milestone by unveiling a new integrated navigation and Highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) system for global markets. This launch was revealed at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, marking the first instance of a Chinese automaker introducing such advanced technology internationally.

This collaboration highlights Lotus’ transition from its success in China to a broader international market. The system combines HERE’s live map technology with Lotus’ digital cockpit, providing enhanced EV-aware routing, range assistance, and over-the-air update functionality for drivers.

“Our enhanced collaboration with Lotus represents a new chapter in delivering world-leading, safer NOA driving experiences,” remarked Deon Newman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of HERE Technologies Asia Pacific.

Features of the New System

The advanced navigation system offers lane-level guidance, intelligent route planning, and real-time situational awareness. It leverages HERE’s AI-powered live map to enhance Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) capabilities, including automated lane changes and Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA).

Feng Qingfeng, CEO of Lotus Technology, mentioned, “Partnering with HERE has allowed us to bring a world-class streaming navigation and Highway NOA experience to customers worldwide.”

Initially, after its success in China, Lotus introduced HERE Navigation across its EV portfolio in Europe. This foundation is now being expanded to support ADAS, including Highway NOA, across Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East.

The goal of this collaboration is to integrate enhanced safety and driving automation within a single vehicle architecture. By utilising precise localization, accurate road geometry, and reliable speed limit information, drivers can enjoy a more consistent automated driving experience.

Lotus’ partnership with HERE showcases a shared vision for advancing connected and automated driving experiences. The companies are committed to leading the next wave of intelligent driving technologies on a global scale.

HERE Professional Services closely partnered with Lotus to ensure the successful rollout of these technologies. This collaboration demonstrates how HERE’s live map intelligence powers both safety and driving automation functions.

The partnership aims to push the boundaries of digital cockpits and reimagine driver interaction with intelligence, safety, and personalization on every journey. As the solution expands, Lotus drivers will benefit from smoother lane-level guidance and precise localization.
