New hire will work across risk advisory, product and regional leadership
Avetta has appointed Lynda Richards as APAC principal, health and safety. The company announced the hire in Sydney on 26 August 2026.
Richards will work across Avetta’s Risk Advisory, Product Management and regional leadership teams. Her role includes strengthening the company’s health and safety capability and helping shape product innovation for businesses across APAC.
She brings experience in governance, contractor management and operational risk from Sydney Airport, Qantas, Thales and CBRE. Those roles span the aviation, infrastructure, defence and property sectors.
According to Avetta, Richards will help develop technology and solutions that let organisations identify and address readiness gaps across their supply chains. The company tied that work to contractor management, operational risk and other complex supply chain issues.
“Having worked on the client side, I’m very familiar with the implementation and operational processes that go hand-in-hand with adopting new technologies,” Richards said.
She said she wants to use that experience to improve outcomes for customers and help them build stronger supply chains over the long term.
Scott DeBow to oversee Richards
Richards will report to Scott DeBow, Avetta’s director of health and safety. She joins the company’s Risk Advisory practice, which Avetta says combines experience in health and safety, procurement, and environmental, social and governance with data from its network of hiring clients and suppliers.
Meanwhile, Luke Boyle, vice president of APAC operations at Avetta, said the appointment supports the company’s effort to lift safety and risk maturity across supply chains in the region.
Avetta says its platform manages compliance, prequalification, safety and performance benchmarking in one system. The company says more than 360,000 businesses across more than 120 countries use the platform.
The company also says it combines AI-driven insights with human expertise to close risk gaps and improve supplier reliability so projects start on time. Avetta did not disclose when Richards will start the role.
