Onterris Launches on Earth Day
Montrose Environmental Group, founded 14 years ago, is rebranding as Onterris. This change aligns with Earth Day celebrations, symbolizing the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and environmental stewardship. The rebranding will officially take effect on May 4, 2026, when their stock ticker changes from ‘MEG’ to ‘ONT’ on the New York Stock Exchange.
Operating in the United States, Canada, and Australia, Onterris addresses complex environmental challenges through scientific rigor and operational excellence. Vijay Manthripragada, President and CEO of Onterris, stated, “Onterris is more than a new name. This brand reflects our company’s evolution and role in solving some of the defining environmental challenges of our time.”
The new brand name combines ‘on’, indicating action, and ‘terris’, meaning earth, emphasizing a science-driven approach to environmental issues. It draws inspiration from the ‘pale blue dot’, an image of Earth captured by NASA’s Voyager 1, underscoring our shared global responsibility.
Onterris integrates science, technology, and data to assist clients in navigating complex environmental and regulatory landscapes. Their focus includes protecting air, water, and soil resources, which facilitates economic progress without sacrificing environmental stewardship.
The rebranding consolidates various brands under Onterris, including Montrose Environmental in North America, ECT2, CTEH, and Enthalpy Analytical in the U.S., and Epic Environmental in Australia. This unification enhances client engagement and supports long-term organic growth.
Environmental challenges today are increasingly interconnected, influenced by resource constraints, public health impacts, and climate pressures. As a result, Onterris is well-positioned to help organisations manage risks and support growth in this rapidly evolving landscape.
According to the company, Onterris will continue to guide its clients who operate at the intersection of environmental responsibility, evolving regulatory frameworks, and operational performance. The unified brand reflects a purpose-driven mission to advance our way of life without compromising the integrity of our environment.
