Hospitality Tech Merger Expands Global Reach
RealTime Reservation (RTR) has acquired STAY, forming a global guest experience platform for the hospitality industry. Over 2,000 properties across more than 75 countries, including North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, will benefit from this integration.
Wavecrest Growth Partners, a Boston-based firm, supported this strategic move with a growth investment. They focus on high-growth B2B software, AI, and data companies. This investment enhances RTR’s international presence and establishes a unified solution for guest engagement and revenue management, solidifying RTR’s leadership in hospitality technology.
Shawn Tarter, CEO of RealTime Reservation, emphasised, “The hospitality industry is moving toward a more connected, guest-centric experience, and together we are uniquely positioned to help hotels deliver it.” The merger will facilitate a comprehensive guest journey, from booking and pre-arrival planning to in-stay engagement and service delivery.
Enhancing Guest Interactions
Major hospitality brands such as Hyatt, Radisson, RIU, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Barceló will be supported by the combined company. By integrating RealTime’s pre-arrival commerce with STAY’s in-stay engagement capabilities, hotels can personalize guest experiences, drive incremental revenue, and streamline service delivery.
“By joining RealTime Reservation, we gain the scale, resources, and complementary technology needed to accelerate that vision and deliver even greater value to hotel operators and guests around the world,” stated Joan Lladó, President of STAY in Europe.
In the future, the merged entity plans to accelerate product innovation and expand global operations. Joan Lladó’s continued leadership within the new structure ensures a seamless transition for existing customers. This partnership promises to deliver improved efficiency and enhanced guest experiences globally.
Wavecrest’s support allows the combined platform to connect the entire guest journey, from booking to departure. Hotels will be able to offer a seamless experience, increasing guest satisfaction and loyalty.
