Seven Consulting deal lifts combined team to about 130

Sia has acquired Seven Consulting in a move that expands its Australian business and lifts its local headcount to about 130 consultants.

The deal was announced on 7th August 2026. It gives Sia flagship offices on Australia’s East Coast in Sydney and Melbourne, alongside its existing base in Perth.

Founded in 2002, Seven Consulting specialises in business transformation. The firm has more than 100 consultants, with about half in Sydney and the rest split between Melbourne and Manila.

Its work centres on complex transformation programmes for banking, government, transportation and postal, retail and consumer goods, and energy and utilities clients.

Seven Consulting’s client list includes NAB, Macquarie, ASX, Cuscal, Future Fund and Pepper Money. It also works with the Australian Government, the governments of New South Wales and Victoria, Australia Post, Woolworths, Coles, Coca-Cola, Optus, Adairs and AGL.

Sydney, Melbourne and Perth

For Sia, the acquisition is a key step in reaching critical mass in Australia. As a result, the group now has a stronger East Coast presence and wider access to larger blue-chip clients in banking, government, transportation and retail.

The transaction also fits the M&A strategy Sia has defined with Blackstone. It strengthens Sia’s global platform and adds programme delivery and change management skills in key international markets.

During the integration, Seven Consulting will use Sia’s international network, global solutions portfolio and expertise in data and AI. Sia expects that mix to support clients moving from AI experiments to larger enterprise transformation projects.

Matthieu Courtecuisse, Sia founder and CEO, called Seven Consulting “a highly strategic addition to Sia” because of its strength in programme delivery and change management, and its ties to major banking, government and retail organisations.

He added that the acquisition supports Sia’s aim to build a significant East Coast presence while growing from its Perth team.

Meanwhile, Seven Consulting founder Declan Boylan said the firms shared an entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on high-impact client delivery. He also pointed to a common view that clients need practical, outcome-focused delivery support for complex transformation work.
