Fast Company Honours Advanced CO8 Solution
Vancouver-based Svante Technologies Inc. has achieved recognition from Fast Company in its 2026 World Changing Ideas Awards for its advanced carbon capture technology. This award highlights the companys nanoengineered solid sorbent filter technology, which efficiently captures and removes CO8 from industrial emissions and the atmosphere.
Svante is among 191 outstanding projects selected from over 1,500 entries across 14 categories. A panel of Fast Company editors and reporters evaluated the projects based on their impact, sustainability, design, creativity, scalability, and societal improvement potential.
Richard Laliberte, COO of Svante, emphasised the critical role of their technology, stating, “This recognition underscores the commercial and societal importance of Svante19s approach to carbon capture, removal, and gas separations.” Their technology is designed to operate at an industrial scale with efficiency, modularity, and manufacturability for global deployment.
Svantes filters utilise nanoengineered materials and a modular rotating contactor architecture. This enhances their application for direct air capture and complex gas separations, positioning Svante within the realm of climate technology, advanced materials, and scalable manufacturing.
Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan remarked, “The World Changing Ideas Awards are more than inspiration; theyre a measure of real-world impact.” The awards celebrate projects that creatively and rigorously address urgent global challenges.
In addition to this recognition, Svante has been listed on the 2025 Global Cleantech 100 Hall of Fame and TIME’s list of Top Greentech Companies of 2025. The company manufactures filters for direct air capture and other gas separation applications, developing carbon capture and storage projects from source to sink.
Svante’s commitment to carbon management is evident in its environmentally responsible technology that captures and removes CO8. Their innovative solutions are essential in addressing climate change and delivering strong business value.
The nanoengineered filters support various applications, including industrial CO8 capture, direct air capture, and advanced gas separations. This positions Svante at the forefront of climate technology and scalable manufacturing. Svante’s technology proves that durable climate solutions can also deliver strong business value while addressing pressing environmental issues.
