Highlights in Member Services and Insurance

Aware Super has triumphed at the Chant West Super Fund Awards, claiming both Super Fund of the Year and Pension Fund of the Year titles on 27th May in Sydney.

For the third consecutive year, Aware Super has been named Pension Fund of the Year. It has also received the Super Fund of the Year accolade for the second time in three years. Additional honours include Best Fund: Member Services and Best Fund: Insurance.

CEO Deanne Stewart highlighted the importance of these recognitions: “Being named both Pension Fund of the Year and Super Fund of the Year is a real endorsement of the work our team does for members at every stage of their journey.”

Innovations in Member Services and Insurance

Aware Super launched Retirement Manager last year, a digital advice platform that helps members plan and manage their retirement income and spending. An Age Pension Hub was introduced as well, featuring an industry-first age pension calculator, alongside an online estate planning service at no extra cost to members.

The Best Fund: Member Services award highlights Aware Super’s investment in digital capabilities, enhancing member engagement and support. A seamless retirement join experience allows non-members to consolidate their super and open a retirement account through one digital form.

Improvements in insurance access have also been a focus for Aware Super. Ms. Stewart remarked, “Our default cover has a lifecycle structure that’s affordable for members of all ages.”

This year, Aware Super’s achievements include receiving the Epic Retirement Tick by Chant West, recognising its excellent retirement outcomes for members. These awards underscore the fund’s commitment to delivering robust member services and innovative solutions.

Aware Super’s member service model integrates digital services and personal support from their Australian-based contact centre and advice team, ensuring comprehensive guidance and support for members.

Tele express and tele claims processes have been introduced, allowing families to achieve faster, simpler outcomes when needed most. These innovations underscore Aware Super’s dedication to providing efficient claims experiences, including health and wellbeing support.
