Fisher to run daily operations at MediaCo

MediaCo Holding Inc. Has appointed Brian Fisher as president, effective immediately, as the New York company reshapes its executive team for its next phase of growth.

Under the new structure, Fisher takes charge of day-to-day operations and execution across the business. Meanwhile, chief executive Albert Rodriguez will stay in his role and focus on long-term strategy, growth initiatives and shareholder value.

The company also named Roberto Castro interim chief financial officer and interim treasurer. He will oversee the finance organisation while MediaCo conducts a search for a permanent chief financial officer.

MediaCo announced the appointments on 21 July 2026. The company trades on Nasdaq under the ticker MDIA.

Rodriguez said the business had built momentum and that the new appointments would help position MediaCo for its next stage of growth.

He also called Fisher the right leader for the president role. According to Rodriguez, Castro’s financial expertise will give the finance team leadership and continuity during the search for a permanent CFO.

Fisher’s promotion creates a clearer split at the top of the company. Rodriguez can now concentrate on strategy and expansion, while Fisher handles operating decisions and execution.

Fisher said: “I’m honoured to serve as President during such an exciting time for MediaCo. We have a strong portfolio of brands, a talented team and a clear strategic vision.”

He added that he wants to execute the company’s strategy and create long-term value for audiences, partners and shareholders.

MediaCo described the changes as part of its push for operational excellence, disciplined execution and long-term value creation. Those goals sit behind the new leadership structure announced on 21 July 2026.

The company operates across television, radio, digital and streaming platforms. Its brands include HOT 97, WBLS, EstrellaTV, Estrella News, Que Buena Los Angeles and the Don Cheto Radio Network.

According to MediaCo, those brands reach more than 20 million people each month.

MediaCo also owns Sigma Audio Networks LLC, which it calls a national multicultural audio network. The business says that unit is modernising how advertisers reach America’s growing multicultural audiences.
