Funding to Enhance Collector Experience

On 30th April, Chance Studios Inc. announced securing $3.2 million in funding to enhance its trading card game (TCG) collectors’ superapp. The round was co-led by Makers Fund and Hashed, with contributions from Arbitrum Gaming Ventures, Gam3Girl Ventures, and Digital Elm, bringing together elite consumer, gaming, and technology investors.

The TCG market has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry. Collectors face challenges beyond authenticity and liquidity, primarily seeking more enjoyment after purchase. Chance aims to address this by providing a unified platform that integrates collection management with social connectivity.

Jun Park and Arvin Dabiri founded Chance, both deeply entrenched in the TCG culture. Dabiri, renowned for his brand GoatedPullz, has a strong reputation in the Pokémon TCG community. The platform promises instant liquidity, transparent transactions, and a vibrant social layer.

Strong Market Reception

Within just two weeks of its open beta launch, Chance recorded trading volumes that exceeded all internal projections, including over $100,000 in volume in a single day. This early success highlights strong market demand from the TCG collector community.

Chance’s organic growth is evident across social channels, where its original content has generated more than 500,000 views on Instagram since November. The platform’s unique offering has attracted significant attention among collectors.

Jun Park, Founder and CEO of Chance, stated, “After interviewing more than 200 content creators, institutional players, families, collectors, and streamers, many of whom are close friends, we saw a clear and urgent gap in the market. Collectors need more than a marketplace. They need a home where collecting leads to connecting.”

Leading investors and industry figures share this vision. Jay Chi of Makers Fund remarked, “Chance is a playground where serious collectors can not only find top chases and instantly trade, but also enjoy a community of like-minded collectors through group chats, shared games, and more.”

Simon Kim, CEO & Managing Partner of Hashed, added, “TCG and collectibles are being redefined faster than any cultural asset class in Asia today, and the winners will be those who love this world most authentically. Chance isn’t just building a platform for collectors.”

Chance continues to build on its early success, aiming to redefine the collectibles industry by providing a platform that fosters community and enhances the collector experience. More information about Chance can be found at Chance.live and their Instagram.
