About this event

Join us for a free open day and try a variety of walking or low impact sports!

Walking sports are modified versions of sports that follow the rules of the standard game, but players walk instead of run. They are great if you want the fun of the game without the strenuous pace and intense contact.

Join us for a free open day and try three walking or low impact sports – walking football, walking basketball, and pickleball (a paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes).

Book in for either the first session or the second session morning or afternoon and rotate through each of the sports via three, short taster sessions (each taster session will last 20-25 minutes). Taster sessions will involve fun, skill-based games and drills with any game play optional and non-contact.

First session: 10:00am – 11:30am

Second session: 11:30am -1:00pm

A complimentary morning/afternoon tea will be provided after each session.

Participants should wear clothing and footwear suitable for exercise (i.e., closed toe shoes) and bring a water bottle with them. Participants are advised to consult with their healthcare provider if they have or suspect they have a medical problem or any health risk factors before participating.
