NBA House Melbourne event set for May 14th to 17th at Timber Yard

The National Basketball Association has confirmed that NBA House will debut in Australia during the 2026 Playoffs, with a four-day event scheduled in Melbourne. The experience will take place at The Timber Yard from Thursday, 14th May to Sunday, 17th May, marking the first time the concept has been staged locally.

The event will span more than 6,000 square metres and will combine basketball, entertainment, and interactive fan experiences. It will operate during the NBA Playoffs, aligning with key moments in the competition calendar.

NBA House Australia will include live viewing parties of playoff games, as well as meet-and-greet opportunities with NBA Legends and team entertainers. Organisers confirmed that additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans attending the event will also have access to basketball skills challenges and an immersive gaming zone featuring NBA 2K26. In addition, the experience will include photo opportunities with the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Local celebrities and influencers are expected to appear throughout the four-day schedule. Meanwhile, music, DJs, food, and beverage offerings will run alongside the core basketball activations.

A pop-up retail store will offer exclusive merchandise, while official NBA partners will deliver activations and giveaways on site. The event will be operated by Seeker Agency.

Rajah Chaudhry, NBA Asia Head of Strategy, said: “Bringing NBA House to Australia will energise our fanbase at a time when the momentum around basketball has never been greater. NBA House has delighted fans all over the world, and we look forward to what will be a multi-day celebration of basketball and the NBA for fans in Melbourne as we approach the pinnacle of the season.”

Global event expands to Melbourne

NBA House has previously been staged in multiple international markets, including Brazil, Canada, China, France, India, Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The Melbourne event marks the latest expansion of the concept into new regions.

Further event details, including ticketing and programming updates, will be released at a later stage. However, fans can register their interest via the official NBA House Australia website.

NBA games are currently broadcast in Australia across Prime, ESPN, and NBA League Pass. The league also maintains localised social media channels across major platforms.
