Round 3 of the Victorian Grand Prix of Australia's Strongest

Event 1. Frame Carry

Objective: 

Carry the frame from start line to finish line as fast as possible. With-in 90 seconds

Rules:

• Athlete starts behind the start line.

• On “GO / whistle ”, athlete lifts and carries the frame 15 meters to line, drop frame turn around repick and carry frame back to start line 30meter run all up.

• Frame cross the finish line and hear the official give you the “clear” call

• Dropping the frame is allowed; athlete may re-pick.

• Frame must be placed under control at finish.

• chalk is allowed 

• Straps are not allowed.

• any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete rest of the day

• no sliding the frame 1st time warming, 2nd time 5m deducted or 5 seconds added, 3rd time disqualified.

Scoring:

• Fastest time wins.

• If not completed, distance covered will be measured.

Event 2 – Trump Log Press

Objective:

You will have two logs, light log and a heavy/Trump log.

You will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible 

Rules:

• Log must start on the drop mats

• Clean must be completed before each press

• wait for the down call from the referee before commencing to next rep

• Viper is allowed

• Press must finish with:

        ~ Arms locked out

        ~ Feet in line

        ~ Log under control

• Push press and split jerk allowed

• logs must be controlled back down on to the mat 

• dopping Log uncontrolled or dropping behind will result to “NO REP”

• chalk, grip shirts, wrist straps and elbow sleeves allowed

• any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete rest of the day

Scoring:

• as many controlled reps as possible 

• Trump log is more points than the light log 

Event 3. Drag to Arm over Arm

Objective: 

Athletes will drag the tyre over a 10 metre course in 90 seconds

Once the tyre crosses the 10 m line, the athlete must immediately return to the start line, sit down, and complete an arm-over-arm pull to bring the tyre back the full 10 metres to the start.

Rules & Standards: 

• The tyre must fully cross the 10 m line before the athlete can move to the arm-over-arm phase.

• Athlete must be seated on the ground before starting the arm-over-arm.

• Arm-over-arm must be performed hand-over-hand only — no standing.

• chalk is allowed 

• any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete rest of the day

Scoring:

• Fastest time wins.

• If not completed, furthest distance pulled counts.

Event 4 – Trump Deadlift

Objective:

You will have two deadlift bars, light bar and a heavy/Trump bar

You will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.

– STRANDED DEADLIFT BAR –

Rules:

• Bar starts on the ground

• Each rep must:

         ~ Start from the floor

         ~ Finish with hips and knees locked

         ~ Shoulders back

         ~ Controled bar back to ground

• Hitching is allowed

• Touch-and-go NOT allowed – dead stop on floor before lift or no rep

• chalk, lifting suit, figure 8, figure 6 all allowed 

• any other sticky / adhesive substance will zero event and potentially not allowed to compete rest of the day

• baby power allowed 

• any other slippery / oil substance is not allowed and will zero event and will not allowed to compete anymore

• socks as a minimum must be worn on comp floor

Scoring:

• as many controlled reps as possible 

• Trump deadlift is more points than the light deadlift
