All Exalate connectors support the Sydney region
Exalate has launched Australian hosting for Exalate Cloud on Google Cloud infrastructure in Sydney, giving organisations in Australia a way to run integrations in-country across all Exalate connectors.
Exalate synchronises work across Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Freshdesk and other platforms. Australian hosting is available now to Exalate Cloud customers of any size.
For many Australian businesses, particularly in regulated and public-facing industries, data hosting location is a requirement, not a preference. That was the case for a complex ServiceNow-to-Jira Cloud migration brought to Exalate through an implementation partner. Australian hosting for Exalate Cloud was a prerequisite for the project. The customer is already using the Sydney deployment to support the migration.
CPS 230 and migration demands
Privacy reform in Australia is still moving, and APRA’s CPS 230 standard puts service providers and offshoring under closer scrutiny. Atlassian Cloud lets Jira customers keep data in Australia, so the integration between systems is where the question now lands.
Enterprise migrations often require old and new systems to run in parallel while teams move in phases. Exalate synchronises agreed records and updates between them, keeping work connected throughout the transition.
“Hosting location is often the deciding factor in whether a platform can be used at all,” said Francis Martens, co-founder at Exalate. “A migration that couldn’t proceed without local hosting settled it for us. Australian teams needed the integration itself to run in-country. Now it can.”
Hosting location applies to Exalate Cloud itself. Data exchanged with a connected system hosted outside Australia will leave the country, so teams planning for residency should consider where both sides of an integration run.
Existing customers can request a move through support or their account executive. New customers can arrange Australian hosting through Exalate Sales.
The Australian region makes Exalate Cloud an option for organisations whose projects depend on local hosting, whether they are connecting systems, working with partners, or managing a migration in stages.
