Melbourne office follows 20,000 panel replacements across Australia
GBP has opened a new office in Melbourne, Australia, after supplying more than 20,000 replacement solar panels across the country. For the Japan-based company, the move marks a milestone in its international growth strategy and adds a local base in one of the world’s leading solar markets.
Across Australia, investment has risen in residential, commercial and utility-scale solar projects. As a result, demand has grown for faster communication, local technical support and products built for Australian standards and conditions.
In Melbourne, the office will serve as a regional hub for customer engagement, technical support and business development across Australia and Oceania. It will support projects from product selection and technical coordination to delivery support and customised solutions.
A dedicated local team will provide more responsive technical and commercial support. That team will also work more closely with customers and partners through each stage of project delivery.
20,000 replacement solar panels
After more than 20,000 replacement solar panels were supplied across Australia, GBP moved to establish a permanent local presence. That step should strengthen support for EPCs, distributors, installers and project owners.
Beyond replacement solar panels, GBP plans to expand its Australian portfolio with solar cables, power cables, energy storage components and customised renewable energy products. Those products are being developed for local project requirements in Australia.
