Exclusive Event Features Don West Performance

On 15th April 2026, Honda Australia hosted an exclusive CR-V Listening Lounge in Melbourne to celebrate the launch of the 2026 Honda CR-V. Rising musician Don West performed secretly at the event held at LB’s Record Bar, a venue renowned for its intimate ambiance.

The event attracted Melbourne’s cultural influencers, media, and tastemakers, who experienced the CR-V’s sophisticated design and engineering. The venue was transformed to highlight the vehicle’s smoothness, creating a stylish and immersive environment.

According to Eva Barrett, General Manager of Brand, Marketing, and Customer Experience for Honda Australia, “This event is about redefining what a vehicle can be. We’re moving the CR-V from purely functional to culturally desirable, proving that smooth engineering can inspire an effortlessly cool lifestyle.”

The Smooth Sailin’ Campaign

The Listening Lounge was part of Honda’s 2026 CR-V Smooth Sailin’ campaign, which emphasises the vehicle’s sleek design and performance. It features a new-generation two-motor hybrid system delivering 152kW of combined power and all-wheel drive capability, enhancing the driving experience.

Don West performed tracks from his latest vinyl album, ‘Don West – EP,’ providing a soulful soundtrack that perfectly matched the CR-V’s silky-smooth hybrid system. His performance was a highlight, showcasing the synergy between music and automotive innovation.

Starting in April 2026, Australians can explore the new CR-V at Honda centres nationwide. This launch aims to redefine automotive experiences, integrating cultural elements into the vehicle’s appeal.

Soundbites from Honda spokesperson Eva Barrett, along with B-roll of the venue, guest reactions, and event activations, illustrate the success of the Listening Lounge. The event not only marked the launch of the CR-V but also introduced a new era of automotive lifestyle experiences.
