€100,000 Grant to Boost Food Recovery

La Tablée des Chefs has been awarded the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award, receiving a €100,000 grant to tackle food insecurity in Montreal and across Canada. The announcement was made on 21st May 2026 at the FORMULA 1® LENOVO GRAND PRIX DU CANADA.

The charity focuses on redistributing surplus food to those in need and has partnered with the Formula 1® event for several years to enhance its food recovery efforts. This financial boost will allow the organisation to engage with an additional 400 food donors and inspire other industries to adopt sustainable food recovery practices.

Jean-François Archambault, Founder and CEO of La Tablée des Chefs, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "We are profoundly honoured to be named the winner of the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award. This recognition from Formula 1, coupled with the generous €100,000 donation from Allwyn, is transformative for La Tablée des Chefs."

Award Highlights Community Impact

The F1® Allwyn Global Community Award aims to acknowledge and support initiatives that align with its pillars of sustainability, health, education, and empowerment. La Tablée des Chefs was chosen for its measurable impact and potential for scalability in addressing food insecurity.

Pavel Turek, Chief Officer Global Partnerships at Allwyn, highlighted the charity's dedication, noting, "La Tablée des Chefs’ dedication to creating real impact, its potential to scale, and its clear alignment to Allwyn's values made it the definitive choice for our F1® Allwyn Global Community Award."

This award is part of a broader initiative by Allwyn to support NGOs at various Grand Prix locations. Fans will also have an opportunity to vote on their favourite initiatives later in the season, further engaging the global community in these impactful projects.

The 2026 programme expands to celebrate more communities, at more races, with more donations, offering fans the chance to get involved. After a successful first year, the Award now recognises up to eight NGOs across Grand Prix race locations, including the Netherlands, Mexico, Austin, and Las Vegas.

Apart from the €100,000 grant, each winner receives a uniquely designed trophy by Jan Plecháč from the renowned Czech glassworks, Moser. The design symbolizes Allwyn’s stable foundation and features suspended spheres representing the award recipients.

Melbourne’s biggest moments, straight to you.
