Innovative Fiber Unveiled at INDEX 26
LYCRA Company has launched its new LYCRA® ADAPTIV fibre for nonwoven materials. This innovation is designed to improve comfort and fit in disposable hygiene products. INDEX™ 26 in Geneva, Switzerland, hosted the global debut from 19th to 22nd May.
Breakthrough in Fiber Technology
Engineered to enhance products like baby diapers, adult incontinence items, and feminine care products, this next-generation stretch fibre offers greater adaptability. The fibre ensures a better fit by minimizing leakage and improving overall comfort.
Highlighting its significance, Doug Kelliher, Executive Vice President of Product at The LYCRA Company, stated, “This technology adapts to real bodies and how they move—an essential demand of today’s consumers.”
Nominated for the INDEX™ Awards in the Raw Material & Component category, LYCRA® ADAPTIV fibre is recognised for its potential to provide a consistent fit across various sizes. The award ceremony is set for 19th May at 10:30 CET at EDANA’s stand.
Jovan Phillips, Product Manager for Personal Care at The LYCRA Company, will present two seminars at the event. These include “From Apparel to Hygiene: LYCRA® ADAPTIV Fiber Redefines Comfort and Fit” on 21st May at 14:00 CET, and “The Power of Partnership: From Farm to Fiber – Introducing Renewable LYCRA® Fiber” on 20th May at 15:30 CET.
At INDEX™ 26, visitors can explore LYCRA’s latest innovations, including Renewable LYCRA® fiber, made from 70 per cent plant-based content. These innovations will be showcased at stand 2151.
The LYCRA Company’s proprietary research underscores the fiber’s key benefits. These encompass fit flexibility, shape retention, comfort in motion, and ease of use. The unique polymer formulation adapts to the wearer’s body, ensuring a secure fit that minimises leakage risks.
LYCRA® ADAPTIV fibre helps reduce concentrated compression, minimizing red marks on the skin. This innovation addresses the need for inclusive sizing, offering a wider fit window and easy donning and doffing for users and caregivers.
