Neuraptive Therapeutics Announces Organisational Changes

Leadership Updates to Support Growth

Neuraptive Therapeutics, based in Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, has announced significant organisational updates with the appointment of Ulf Wiinberg to its Board of Directors and William 'Bill' MacKenzie as Senior Vice President of Finance, effective 8th June 2026.

Ulf Wiinberg brings extensive experience in biotechnology and healthcare to Neuraptive's Board. His previous roles include CEO positions at X-Vax Technology, Inc. from 2017 to 2024 and at Lundbeck from 2008 to 2014. He also served as Worldwide President of Wyeth Consumer Healthcare between 2002 and 2005.

In addition to his role at Neuraptive, Ulf Wiinberg serves on the boards of several other companies, including UCB in Brussels, Alfa Laval AB in Sweden, SIGRID Therapeutics AB in Stockholm, and MiNK Therapeutics, Inc. in Massachusetts.

Ulf Wiinberg expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I look forward to working collaboratively with my fellow directors and the management team at this exciting time in Neuraptive’s journey as the company continues to advance its important work to address the unmet needs of physicians and patients impacted by peripheral nerve injuries."

Financial Leadership Strengthened

Bill MacKenzie, who has been a consultant and Head of Finance at Neuraptive since March 2025, will now lead the firm's financial operations. His career includes roles at Sage Therapeutics, Prelude Therapeutics, LifeScan, and Zyla Life Sciences, where he gained experience in managing FDA-approved products and complex corporate restructurings.

With over a decade of experience in biotech finance, Bill MacKenzie's expertise is seen as pivotal in advancing Neuraptive's NTX-001 towards commercialisation. His background in accounting and financial planning will support the development of the company's operational infrastructure.
