Pride Afterparty scheduled at Hotel Esplanade on 1st February 2026
Hotel Esplanade will host the Pride Afterparty on Sunday, 1st February 2026, running from midday until late. The event follows the conclusion of the annual Pride March and forms part of Melbourne’s broader Midsumma calendar.
Located on The Esplanade in St Kilda, the venue will operate across multiple internal spaces throughout the day and night. Entry will remain free across all areas, with programming scheduled to run continuously from noon.
The afterparty has become a regular fixture linked to the Pride March. As a result, the venue attracts a high volume of attendees following the parade’s conclusion. Programming spans live performances, DJ sets and staged moments across several rooms.
In the Main Bar, Kieynan Lonsdale is scheduled to headline with a staircase performance. BVT will also perform on the staircase during the afternoon. Additionally, the Main Bar line-up includes Debra Walters, Jake Judd, Gavin Campbell, Frock Hudson, Marcelo De Faria, Jesse Boyd and Sugar Plump Fairy.
Meanwhile, the Sunroom will feature performances by Miss Katalyna and Marcelo De Faria. These sessions will run alongside the Main Bar programming, providing a parallel performance schedule within the venue.

The Gershwin Room will host a Poof Doof takeover, with sets scheduled from 5pm until 1am. Performers listed for the takeover include Rosie Rai, Jawbreakers, Jimi The Kween, Joey with the Mustache, Mislav and additional acts. This program is scheduled to operate independently from the daytime performances.
Throughout the venue, themed decor will be installed for the duration of the event. Bars across the site will operate as normal, with frozen cocktails available throughout the day.
The Pride Afterparty operates as a continuation of the Pride March rather than a standalone ticketed event. Therefore, access remains open to attendees arriving directly from the parade as well as members of the public joining later in the day.
The event schedule has been structured to allow movement between spaces without re-entry restrictions. As a result, attendees can access performances across the Main Bar, Sunroom and Gershwin Room during operating hours.

Programming and venue layout
The Hotel Esplanade will utilise multiple levels and rooms to manage crowd flow and programming demand. Staircase performances in the Main Bar remain a recurring feature of the event schedule. Meanwhile, the Gershwin Room will operate on a late-afternoon to night-time timetable aligned with club programming.
The venue’s location on the St Kilda foreshore places it within walking distance of the Pride March endpoint. Consequently, the site functions as a central gathering point following the parade.
No ticketing or registration is required for entry. Access is subject to venue capacity and standard conditions of entry.
