Prince Harry confirmed as keynote at InterEdge psychosocial safety summit in Melbourne
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, will appear as a keynote speaker at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit in Melbourne. Lifeline Narrm announced the appearance ahead of the two-day event scheduled for Wednesday, 15th April to Thursday, 16th April 2026.
The summit focuses on psychosocial safety in Australian workplaces. Organisers say the event will bring together leaders, policymakers, practitioners and advocates to address rising psychological injury and mental health concerns across the workforce.
According to Lifeline Narrm, the conference will explore practical leadership strategies designed to support mentally healthy workplaces. Discussions will also focus on organisational responsibility and approaches that improve communication and workplace culture.
The InterEdge Summit is expected to serve as a national forum examining how organisations respond to psychological risk. Additionally, the program aims to present frameworks and leadership approaches that support safer and more sustainable workplace environments.
Nearly half of Australians will experience a mental health condition during their lifetime, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. Therefore, the summit will examine evidence-based responses to the increasing pressure on workplaces, families and communities.
Prince Harry has previously spoken about the importance of collective mental health in global advocacy work. His participation adds to a program featuring researchers, government leaders and workplace specialists.
Speakers and national workplace focus
The speaker program includes Dr Amy Cuddy, a social psychologist, and Jelena Dokic, a former professional tennis player and mental health advocate. The lineup also features Allan Sparkes, CV, OAM, VA, FRSN, former Deputy Commissioner of the NSW Mental Health Commission.
Additional speakers include Hugh van Cuylenburg, founder of The Resilience Project, and David Hazlehurst, Chief Executive Officer of Services Australia. Amy Salmon, Principal Psychological Health and Safety Specialist at WorkSafe, and Jamie Gannon, Culinary Director at Feros Group, will also participate.
Carrie Leeson, Chief Executive Officer of InterEdge Summit, said the event reflects growing concern about psychological risk across Australian workplaces.
“We have reached a national inflexion point. Burnout, distress and psychological injury are rising, and the cost – to individuals, families and communities – is profound.
“We’re honoured to welcome Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, to the InterEdge Summit, joining an exceptional line-up of leaders whose collective expertise reflects both the scale of the challenge and the urgency for action. This Summit is about moving beyond awareness and driving the meaningful change Australian workplaces desperately need.”
Ticket sales support Lifeline Narrm services across Victoria. Organisers state proceeds will contribute to crisis support, community education programs and suicide prevention initiatives.
