2026 Sotheby’s Portsea Pro Am Set for Biggest Year Yet

Sotheby’s Portsea Steps Into Its Biggest Year Yet

The 2026 Sotheby’s Portsea Celebrity Pro Am arrives on Sunday, 4 January with its biggest field yet. It also marks the event’s 50th anniversary, and it follows a strong year after winning the Victorian Metropolitan Pro Am of the Year.

Crowds are expected to grow as the program expands. As a result, the coastal fairways will feel busier, louder and more electric than ever.

Why Sotheby’s Portsea Continues to Dominate

This year’s professional field brings serious drawing power. European Tour standout David Micheluzzi leads the group. In addition, Queensland PGA champion Cameron John joins the line-up. Last year’s winners, Christopher Wood and Paul Connors, return to defend their titles.

Meanwhile, the celebrity field continues to climb. Bec Judd and Dylan Alcott will make their debut at Portsea. Fans will also see Archie Thompson, Damian Oliver, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Zak Butters, Sam Durham, Anabelle Smith, Isaac Smith and Sam Groth. Mark Allen, Russel Howcroft and Tyson O’Brien, also known as DJ Generik, are confirmed as well.

Major Prizes Lift the Stakes

Sponsors are raising the bar this year. Titanium Caravans will offer a two-hundred-thousand-dollar caravan for a hole-in-one on the tenth. In addition, ELEVEN Australia has reimagined the famous seventh Party Hole with an eleven-thousand-dollar cash prize for a hole-in-one. These additions will keep fans focused on every swing.

Josh Gibson will make his first appearance, playing on behalf of Titanium Caravans. Likewise, Joey Scandizzo from ELEVEN Australia has transformed the seventh hole setup, adding a fresh new look for 2026.

A Premium Marquee Experience

The premium marquee returns with major upgrades. For 250 dollars, guests can access the new two tier viewing platform created by White Top Events. As a result, spectators will have some of the best views on the course. Visitors will also enjoy a menu designed by the Portsea Golf Club Head Chef. Live commentary from Channel Seven’s Theo Doropoulos will add even more energy. The seventh hole has been shortened to lift scoring chances and encourage more aggressive play. DJ Generik will also keep the atmosphere upbeat throughout the afternoon.

Free Entry Keeps the Event Accessible

General admission remains free, and it continues to draw large crowds. Spectators can roam the fairways, visit the new viewing decks and enjoy bars and food trucks. Barry’s Bar will return to the seventh hole lawn. It is run by Barry’s Drinks, owned by Bailey Smith, Nick Daicos, Josh Daicos and Charlie Curnow. Their presence brings even more star power to the day.

Free buses will run from the township to the course between 10.00am and 11.00pm. This makes travel simple for families and groups. General admission does not include The Marquee or the Official After Party, yet it provides an easy and affordable way to experience one of the biggest days of the summer.

Strong Leadership Behind the Scenes

Peninsula Sotheby’s returns as major sponsor for the fourth consecutive year. Managing Director Rob Curtain called the event “simply the best on the summer calendar.”
Meanwhile, Portsea Golf Club GM John Burbergs continues to credit his team and the volunteers, who will be dressed by Cotton On, for bringing the event to life year after year.
