Viva Melbourne unveils Vogue & Vicious: fashion, fire and late-night seduction

Viva Melbourne turns up the heat with two daring new shows fusing fashion, spectacle, and after-dark indulgence.

Since its highly anticipated debut in 2024, VIVA Melbourne has emerged as the heartbeat of North Melbourne’s nightlife, drawing comparisons to the iconic underground scenes of Berlin and New York. Seamlessly blending modern luxury with the vintage charm of a 1920s Spiegel, VIVA offers an unrivaled entertainment experience, setting a new benchmark for immersive nightlife in Australia.

VIVA is launching two brand-new productions, Vogue and Vicious, launching Friday the 2nd May 2025. Vogue: a bold fusion of high fashion, avant-garde artistry, and electrifying performance. Inspired by the runways of Paris, the streets of New York,
and underground ballroom culture, Vogue blends fierce choreography, haute couture aesthetics, and jaw-dropping cirque acts into one unapologetically glamorous show. Vicious: VIVA’s most daring late-night spectacle yet. Seductive, raw and untamed, Vicious delivers pulse-pounding acts and hypnotic dancers that thrill and shock in equal measure. And when the show ends, the party begins this is one night you won’t forget.

“With the arrival of Vogue and Vicious, we’re taking the VIVA experience to new extremes—pushing boundaries in both style and storytelling,” says VIVA Creative Director Karlee Kaminski.“Each show is a statement. One celebrates the art of fashion and movement; the other dives headfirst into the wild, the wicked, and the unexpected.”

More than just a cabaret, VIVA is an exclusive playground for culture seekers in search of an evening of sophistication and adventure. Guests are invited to indulge in an exquisite gourmet snack menu, including haloumi fries with yuzu mayonnaise and honey sesame glaze or sushi rice arancini with kewpie, roe, and pickled ginger. For something sweet, a decadent crème brûlée awaits.

The VIVA experience is elevated further with handcrafted cocktails that celebrate artistry and indulgence. Signature drinks include the VIVA Cocktail (Cognac, Yellow Chartreuse, and lemon juice) and the Emerald (Fireball, Licor 43, and apple juice). Orders are accepted throughout the two-hour spectacle, ensuring that guests are immersed in a world where
performance and pleasure intertwine.

Channeling the rebellious spirit of prohibition-era speakeasies and the electric energy of Studio 54, VIVA’s underground aesthetic infuses every performance with a unique edge that sets it apart from the city’s traditional entertainment scene.
