Chinese New Year Menu Arrives at Lexy Melbourne

Chinese New Year menu runs from 17th to 22nd February in Melbourne

Lexy Melbourne will mark the Chinese New Year from 17th February to 22nd February with a limited-time menu celebrating the Year of the Horse. The six-day offering introduces three seasonal dishes. Each item reflects themes of prosperity, abundance and togetherness associated with the annual celebration.

The restaurant has developed a focused menu rather than a full takeover. As a result, the specials will sit alongside the existing offering during the period. However, the three dishes form the centrepiece of the Chinese New Year programme.

Chefs at Lexy have curated the selection around premium produce and Asian-influenced flavours. The first featured dish is a Josper Grilled Moreton Bay Bug priced at $68. It comes with smoked coconut curry, betel leaf and flaky roti canai.

The combination highlights seafood as the hero ingredient. In addition, the smoked coconut curry introduces depth and spice. The betel leaf and roti canai provide texture and balance.

A second savoury dish will also be available throughout the celebration. The Twice Cooked Lamb Neck is priced at $30. It is served with sudachi tamarind, sawtooth coriander and toasted rice.

The preparation focuses on layered flavour and contrasting elements. Sudachi tamarind adds citrus sharpness. Meanwhile, sawtooth coriander and toasted rice deliver fragrance and crunch.

The menu also includes a dessert created for the occasion. The Gula Melaka Steamed Cake is priced at $21. It is paired with smoked vanilla ice cream, Oolong white chocolate ganache and sesame tuile.

The dessert combines palm sugar sweetness with smoky notes. In contrast, the Oolong white chocolate ganache introduces tea-infused richness. The sesame tuile provides a crisp finish to the dish.

All three specials will run exclusively from 17th February until 22nd February. Therefore, diners will have a defined window to access the menu. The dishes will be available during standard trading hours.

Lexy has positioned the menu to align with Chinese New Year gatherings. As a result, the timing coincides with peak celebration dates. The Year of the Horse theme frames the limited release.

Each dish showcases bold Asian-influenced flavours while retaining the restaurant’s modern approach. However, the menu remains concise with only three additions. This structure allows the kitchen to maintain focus during the six days.

The pricing structure ranges from $21 to $68 across the selection. Consequently, diners can choose a single dish or combine items across courses. The offering supports both small group bookings and broader festive dining plans.

The Chinese New Year menu will conclude on 22nd February. After that date, the specials will no longer be available.
