Marvel Stadium will reveal new character plaques every two weeks throughout July and August before the display concludes on 27th August 2026

Marvel characters are being added to a new Walk of Legends outside Gate 4 at Marvel Stadium, with fresh plaques to be revealed every two weeks.

The installation will run throughout July and August, concluding at the Four’N Twenty Legends Game for Prostate Cancer on Thursday, 27th August 2026.

Designed by Australian artist Wayne Nichols, the plaques will recognise a rotating selection of fan-favourite Marvel characters along the stadium concourse.

The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Kylie Watson-Wheeler said the display would give visitors another way to engage with Marvel at the stadium.

“Marvel Stadium is our home ground for Marvel fandom in Australia,” Watson-Wheeler said.

The Walk of Legends follows the introduction of Marvel Stadium’s 365 Climb and Tour experiences last month, which allow visitors to access the venue outside scheduled sport and entertainment events.

Marvel Stadium General Manager Scott Fitzgerald said the installation was part of the venue’s push to attract visitors throughout the year, including on non-event days.

Limited-edition artwork available at Marvel Stadium

Australian artists have also created limited-edition Marvel artwork connected to the installation.

The pieces will be available to collect with the purchase of any Marvel-branded product from The Super-Store at Marvel Stadium, while stocks last. The artwork will also be available to purchase.

The Super-Store is described as Australia’s only dedicated Marvel store and stocks adult and children’s clothing, toys, action figures and accessories featuring characters including Captain America and Iron Man.

The installation arrives ahead of the Australian cinema release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday on 17th December 2026.
