Pevan & Sarah reach 150,000 students monthly through Cub Club
Pevan & Sarah will make their ABC debut in June, taking their classroom-based learning content into homes across Australia.
The children’s education duo, created by educators Sarah and Manny Kechayas, has built a strong following in Australian schools through music-led lessons and its Cub Club education platform.
The platform reaches more than 150,000 students across Australia each month, while Pevan & Sarah’s YouTube content has recorded more than 16.6 million views.
Their move to ABC marks a major step for a brand that has, until now, been best known by teachers and students. The duo’s content uses songs, movement and storytelling to support classroom learning across areas including literacy, numeracy and wellbeing.
Pevan & Sarah’s rise comes as schools continue to look for ways to keep young students engaged. Their content is designed around active participation, using rhythm and repetition to help children remember key ideas.
“We’ve seen firsthand in classrooms across Australia the impact that music has on learning,” Sarah said. “Kids want to be actively involved in their education, and we know that when it’s fun, it sticks.”
ABC move expands school content into homes
The ABC debut will give parents access to learning content that has already been used widely in classrooms.
For families, the move means Pevan & Sarah’s education-focused videos will no longer sit mainly within the school day. The ABC launch gives the pair a wider public platform and puts their work in front of children outside the classroom.
Manny said the goal was to make learning feel natural at home.
“We know families are looking for content that’s both entertaining and meaningful,” he said. “This is about bridging the gap between school and home and helping kids build confidence across key areas like literacy, numeracy and wellbeing, without it feeling like learning.”
The pair’s model blends education with performance, placing curriculum-linked ideas inside songs and stories. That approach has helped Pevan & Sarah gain traction with teachers looking for practical ways to hold attention in busy classrooms.
Australia has a long history of children’s entertainers moving from local audiences into national and international recognition. Pevan & Sarah’s ABC debut puts the duo on a broader stage after years of growth through schools, YouTube and Cub Club.
