1 Hotel Melbourne will mark Pride Month with a drag luncheon led by POOF DOOF, taking over Crane Bar & Lounge on Saturday 13th June.

The event, Together as 1: POOF DOOF Drag Luncheon, will run from 1pm to 3pm, followed by an after party from 3pm to 5pm. It will feature drag performances, DJs, bottomless drinks and a menu of roving bites from From Here by Mike.

The line-up includes Isis Avis Loren, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 3, Max Drag Queen from Drag Race Down Under Season 4, and Jimi the Kween. DJs Nic Holland and Hayley Maree Mix will play throughout the luncheon and after-party.

The event forms part of 1 Hotel Melbourne’s Together as 1 Pride Month calendar. The hotel is working with POOF DOOF for the afternoon, drawing on the party collective’s long-running place in Australian queer entertainment.

POOF DOOF has built its name through drag, club events and queer performance across Australia. For this event, the focus sits on live performance, drinks, food and music in one afternoon at the hotel’s Crane Bar & Lounge.

Guests will receive a Pride Punch on arrival, with bottomless beverages also included in the ticket. Drinks listed for the event include Mimosas, Cloud St Sparkling Brut and Stomping Ground Pride Ale.

The food menu includes Port Phillip Bay fish rillettes tartlets with sparkling wine jelly, free-range chicken karaage bao with wasabi mayo, Victorian beef empanadas with chimichurri, and baby burrata with pickled Victorian figs.

Sweet items include Yarra Valley raspberry cheesecake and a milk chocolate dulce de leche mini magnum.
