Crane Bar introduces Social Sip drinks and snack offers from 4pm to 6pm
Crane Bar & Lounge at 1 Hotel Melbourne has introduced a new after-work drinks offering called The Social Sip. The curated experience runs Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, and features offers across the bar’s premium drinks list and menu.
Located within the hotel’s lobby space overlooking the Yarra River, Crane Bar presents the initiative as an updated approach to the traditional happy hour format. The Social Sip centres on cocktails, beer, wine and small plates designed for early evening drinks.
The offering includes crafted cocktails such as the Second Life Spritz and the Seafarers Martini. The Second Life Spritz combines Three Foxes Rosella Gin with Second Life wine and blanc de blanc, finished with rosemary, native thyme and raspberry. Meanwhile, the Seafarers Martini presents a botanical take on a classic martini using Saltbush and Rosemary Infused Maidenii Dry Vermouth.
Additionally, guests can choose from tap beer, wine by the glass or sparkling wine. The drinks list forms part of the venue’s broader bar menu, which is also available during the Social Sip period.
The drinks promotion coincides with the launch of a dedicated Social Sip Snacks menu. The menu features $12 snack plates designed to pair with the drinks selection during the early evening service.
Dishes include bolognese arancini served with aioli and chicken karaage, accompanied by pickles. Golden fries dusted with saltbush and freshly shucked oysters are also available. The oysters are suggested alongside Lallier Champagne.
The Social Sip menu also connects with the wider food offering at Crane Bar for guests who continue into the evening service. Options available later in the evening include Oscietra caviar served with karaage chicken and crème fraîche.
A seafood platter is also available and includes Skull Island prawns, scallops, seasonal oysters and Hiramasa kingfish sashimi with blood orange ponzu.
Drinks and snacks available during Social Sip
Crane Bar operates within the lobby of 1 Hotel Melbourne and includes both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace overlooking the river. The terrace space provides open air seating during the early evening service.
The venue also hosts live DJs between Wednesday and Sunday. Music programming runs across the indoor bar and terrace areas and forms part of the evening atmosphere during service.
The Social Sip promotion applies to a range of drink categories. Premium beer and wine are available for $10 during the 4pm to 6pm window. Crafted cocktails and spritzes are offered at $15 as part of the same promotion.
The initiative is positioned as a weekday drinks option designed for the period immediately after the working day. The offering runs across five days of the week from Sunday through Thursday.
