Program Achieves Key Milestones in CO2 Reduction and Inclusion

SYDNEY — Schneider Electric has announced the completion of its Sustainability Impact program for 2021-2025, achieving a score of 8.86/10. The program has made significant strides in reducing CO2 emissions and promoting sustainability, according to the company.

Over the five-year period, Schneider Electric reported that it enabled its customers to save and avoid 862 million tonnes of CO2 emissions, surpassing its initial goal of 800 million tonnes. “Schneider Sustainability Impact 2021–2025 has been a transformative journey,” said Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric.

The company also emphasized its role in engaging its supply chain through the Zero Carbon Project, reducing suppliers’ operational CO2 emissions by 56%. Esther Finidori, Chief Sustainability Officer, stated, “Closing SSI 2021–2025 is a milestone, not a finish line.”

Community and Supplier Engagement

Schneider Electric’s efforts extended to improving working conditions across its supply chain, with 98% of strategic suppliers meeting Decent Work requirements. The Access to Energy initiative has benefited over 61 million people worldwide, exceeding its target of 50 million.

This announcement comes as industries face increasing pressure to adopt sustainable practices. The company has been recognized in top ESG ratings, highlighting its leadership in sustainability. Schneider Electric plans to continue leveraging technology and innovation to further its sustainability goals.
