Securonix names Toby Weiss chief executive officer in Melbourne
Securonix appointed Toby Weiss as chief executive officer in Melbourne, Australia, on 30 June 2026.
Weiss joins the company as security teams face higher threat volumes, more complex attacks, tighter compliance rules and persistent talent shortages.
Those pressures are hitting highly regulated sectors including healthcare, financial services, energy and government, as well as managed security service providers.
At the same time, organisations are trying to improve security outcomes, control operating costs and get more value from cyber security spending.
Weiss will lead Securonix through its next phase of growth and innovation across its Unified Defence SIEM platform.
The platform combines analytics, Data Pipeline Manager and Agentic AI tools to help security operations teams move faster and work at greater scale.
Securonix plans to expand advanced analytics to improve detection efficacy, use Data Pipeline Manager to widen visibility while cutting costs, and lift SOC productivity with Sam, the AI SOC Analyst, and Agentic Mesh.
The company is a six-time Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM.
“Toby brings a powerful combination of cyber security expertise, enterprise software leadership, and operational excellence,” said Nadeem Syed, executive chairman of the Securonix board and senior managing director at Vista Equity Partners.
Syed added that security operations are moving “from alert-driven tools toward AI-powered execution” as organisations modernise their security operations centres.

Customers increasingly want deeper threat visibility, stronger analytics, better operational efficiency and measurable results from their platforms.
As a result, Securonix is positioning Unified Defence SIEM for enterprises and MSSPs that need stronger detection and lower data handling costs.
Weiss brings more than three decades of experience in enterprise software and cyber security.
Most recently, he served as chief executive officer of Fiery, which develops AI-powered cloud workflow and high-speed digital front-end products for industrial imaging.
Earlier in his career, Weiss was president and chief executive officer of Application Security, Inc. He also held senior executive roles at CA Technologies, where he led global security software businesses.
Under Weiss, Securonix will keep its focus on customer outcomes, including stronger security operations, better efficiency and clearer business value from cyber security investments.
