Kids Clay | School Holiday Workshops

Tuesday 14 April 2026 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Duldig Studio Museum & Sculpture Garden East Malvern
Duldig Studio’s Kids Clay Workshops are back! Join us for creative ceramic workshops designed for kids.

Surrounded by the sculptural legacy of Karl and Slawa Duldig, young participants will draw inspiration from the Studio’s historic setting while learning the fundamentals of clay hand-building. Guided by sculptor-in-residence Stefan Damschke, children will shape, build and experiment in the sculpture garden workshop.

What your child can expect:

  • A 1.5 hour guided session
  • Suitable for ages 5–15
  • A fun-filled experience of imaginative, tactile learning
  • Foundational ceramic hand-building techniques
  • A sculpture to take home and naturally dry

We provide:

  • Terracotta clay
  • Ceramic hand-building tools
  • Professional guidance and creative support
  • A supportive studio environment

Students booked into our initial Tuesday morning session will be guided through the process of sculpting a clay bust. This session will introduce proportion and form, facial features and expression, structural support in clay and basic hand-building techniques. Students are invited to book into a second session to continue refining their bust, return later in the week to further develop their sculpture or attend a single standalone class

Please note: Sculptures are designed to be taken home at the end of class to dry naturally. Firing is not included.
