Surrounded by the sculptural legacy of Karl and Slawa Duldig, young participants will draw inspiration from the Studio’s historic setting while learning the fundamentals of clay hand-building. Guided by sculptor-in-residence Stefan Damschke, children will shape, build and experiment in the sculpture garden workshop.

Students booked into our initial Tuesday morning session will be guided through the process of sculpting a clay bust. This session will introduce proportion and form, facial features and expression, structural support in clay and basic hand-building techniques. Students are invited to book into a second session to continue refining their bust, return later in the week to further develop their sculpture or attend a single standalone class
Please note: Sculptures are designed to be taken home at the end of class to dry naturally. Firing is not included.
