Tune Talk Transitions to Cloud-Native Network

ASEAN's First Cloud-Native Mobile Network Operator

KUALA LUMPUR — Tune Talk, a prominent mobile brand in Malaysia, has transitioned to a fully cloud-native mobile network operator (MNO), marking a significant milestone in the ASEAN region. This transformation, completed through a partnership with network software provider Mavenir, enables Tune Talk to manage its network systems independently, according to a statement released on February 23, 2026.

The adoption of Mavenir’s cloud-native OSS and BSS solutions allows Tune Talk to enhance its operational agility and service delivery. Gurtaj Singh Padda, CEO of Tune Talk, stated, “Becoming a fully cloud-native MNO marks the start of a new chapter for Tune Talk and reinforces our ambition to build a smarter, more agile mobile network for Malaysia and beyond.”

The new infrastructure has already facilitated the rapid deployment of digital services such as MyDigital ID integration and in-app streaming content, according to the company. Mavenir’s President and CEO, Pardeep Kohli, expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing the speed and flexibility their approach provides to Tune Talk.

AI-Driven Transformation and Future Plans

In addition to current advancements, Tune Talk’s cloud-native environment features zero-touch processes and self-healing automation, enhancing network stability. The company plans to further leverage AI-driven technology to improve service delivery and introduce new revenue streams through personalized offers.

This transition comes amidst growing demand for agile and efficient mobile network solutions in the region. As the first cloud-native MNO in ASEAN, Tune Talk sets a precedent for modernizing network operations and expanding digital capabilities. The company’s developments align with broader industry trends towards cloud-native architectures and AI integration.
